2021 Calendar: Plant More Seeds With Wooden Display Base
PLANT MORE SEEDS is our limited edition 2021 letterpress calendar inspired by our life on the farm where we live and work. Each year our studio creates a garden calendar. We like to think of it as our love letter to the shifting growth & beauty we see outside. This year's garden desk calendar is meant to remind you of your own connection to the world around you — bringing your attention to the shifting growth and beauty both in nature and the everyday moments of life.
All 13 prints in PLANT MORE SEEDS have been run through the press by our hands a total of 42 times for each calendar! Brown Parcel Press is a small company, just three women, who make paper goods and this marks the 11th year that we’ve created a garden desk calendar. With 2020 knocking us all a little sideways we wanted to lean into the ideas that Margaret Mead's words bring up for us: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Each month in our 2021 calendar features an illustration tied to a small prompt that we hope will serve as reminders of reflection and action: to Plant More Seeds in our lives and in the lives of those in our community— to Nurture Growth Inside & Out.
We hold on to these words and these prints on both the light and dark days and know that it’s all a part of the cycle of our seasons and our lives. Thank you for your support and for allowing us to be a small part of your coming year.
This calendar is paired with a wooden base crafted by a woodworker in Huntsville, Alabama. These wooden bases complement the minimalist simplicity of our calendars. Choose from either maple, walnut, or white oak. Each base comes with two wooden pieces: a bottom and a back and is approximately 4” x 3”. The base has our branding on the bottom but is not visible when in use. They are also perfect for small prints or photographs. Now you’re all set to display whatever makes you smile in 2021.
