Pokeberry

$6

Send our pokeberry card to someone to brighten their day, or trim off the back, frame it and put it in your library because life is too short not to sprinkle beauty wherever we can!

Inspiration for Pokeberry: I used to shy away from brighter colors in our work, always opting for more muted and natural tones, but more and more I’m finding myself drawn to brighter, more vivid work, and I think it’s in large part due to the pokeberry.

Also known as poke salad, pokeweed, or inkberry, the pokeberry plant is largely thought of as a weed, but I think of it as glorious! Pokeberry has a signature magenta stem and dark berries that beckon to you to use for ink or natural dying, and although it is toxic to humans the American Cancer Society is using the plant in its research as a possible treatment for cancer.

How do I display my calendar?

This is one of the number one questions we get asked … so, we answered it by creating a custom wooden base stand that can be used to hold small prints or photos long after 2022 is gone. We also offer metal skeleton wall clips that can be used for hanging small and large prints, cards, photographs, or maybe even that beautiful branch you found on your walk around the neighborhood. New this year, magnetic wooden frames complement the minimalist simplicity of our calendars and allow you to easily change the calendar page each and every month.
